Local Real Estate Update--

Our speaker this week was Donna Mathewson, President of the Sarnia-Lambton Real Estate Board.Her report was very optimistic the way real estate was moving in our area The average price of a home sold in the past few months was $195,000. There are 231 realtors registered with the board.

Peace Schools Project Explained--

Anna Jurak of the Rotary Club of Windsor Roseland spoke to our club this week.She explained the purpose of the Peace Schools her club is involved with and would like other clubs to promote in their communities. A "Peace School" is a school that encourages, fosters and promotes a harmonious, safe, caring and welcoming environment and celebrates diversity.

Mayor Mike Bradley of Sarnia spoke at our weekly meeting at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club this morning. Touching on several topics that are happening in the community Including the new harmonized taxing, the new hospital and the new proposed downtown gallery.

Sarnia Radio Operations Explained.

Ron Dann, General Manager of Blackburn Radio / Sarnia spoke at our regular weekly meeting this morning. While newspapers seem to be slipping backwards in circulation Radio seems to be holding the line and still very successful in the Sarnia/Lambton area.
