Every Rotarian Every Year--
PDG Dennis Dinsmore of Clio, Michigan was our guest speaker this morning He explained the importance of The Rotary Foundation Sustaining Membership Pledge to donate $100.00 US every year. All our club members to part in a skit to show how the money would benefit around the world. Check the photo attached.

Bluewater Bridge Update----
What do you need to know about the Bluewater Bridge. Ask any Rotarian in attendance at our regular meeting at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club this morning. Stan Korosec and Cathy Gardener of the Authority where our speakers. Very interesting in what is happening with the rebuilding of the 402 and the new construction on site.

Jannek Meyers the inbound exchange student hosted by the Rotary Club of Sarnia visited our club this morning. He gave a interesting talk and slide show of his native town and his country. Welcome to Canada and the Sarnia area Jannek

Bluewater Health Update---
Jim Elliott, President Board of Govenors for Bluewater Health spoke at our weekly meeting this morning. Constuction is on time and the doors are expected to be opened in 2010. Some of the services available from the Mitton / George street site will be moved the following year.

New Sarnia Director of Community Services Speaks--
Ian Smith. Newly appointed Director of Community Services spoke at this mornings meeting. The topic---The Community Services Department is..... Special Events Walks along the waterfront Splashing in the splashpad at the Cox Youth Centre Listening to music at the Dow People Place Entertainment Centre Playing hockey or figure skating in the arenas A Department that serves the community and all it's residents.
