ShelterBox Explained----

Our own Rotarian Jean Cowper did a fantastic job with her presentation on the importance of the ShelterBox program at our regular meeting this morning. We where shown that our own Shelterbox that we purchased last year is being well used. Jean is visiting other area club with her presentation. It has now been decided that our members will again raise money by filling cups with left over change to purchase another box.

Sarnia's Top Cops Speak---

Sarnia Police Chief Phil Nelson and Deputy Police Chief Bob Farlow spoke to our club this morning. The club was told what the Police Force offers our citizens. The topic also involved what the differences would be if our city was serviced by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Local tourism on a small budget was explained by John Dickson, Executive Director/General Manager of Sarnia Lambton Tourism. He explained how important tourism is to this community.

Another one of our new Rotarians had his classification talk at our regular meeting this morning. John, "Johnny" Hopman explained his humble arrival to our great country Canada in 1954 from his native country the Netherlands. He is presently with Talbot Marketing of London but resides in Sarnia. Rotarian Henry Kulik on his Mt.Kilimanjaro climb..

Our own Club's Rotarian Henry Kulik explained how he and other members in the party climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro last February. The fundraiser was a project of the Sarnia Big Brothers.A most interesting presentation. I believe there will be a second edition to this. So please plan to attend.
