U.S. Border Security Explained.---
President-elect for the rotary Club of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, Michele Theisen was our speaker this morning. Michele is a supervisor for U.S Customs and Homeland Security at Port Huron. The topic was what will happen beginning June 1, 2009 entering the U.S. from Canada.

Shelter Box Canada Explained---
Rotarian Jean Cowper spoke at this week's board meeting and explained the operations of the Shelter Box Canada project. A video was also shown how it can be used when a disaster strikes. Our club members have been saving their daily left over change for the past month to raise the $1,200.00 needed to purchase the box.

Smartboard donation made.----
This week's speaker was Stacey Smith, principal of Hanna Memorial School in Sarnia. Stacey explained the operations of the new Smartboard that The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland donated to her school. New Ontario pesticide ban explained.
John DeGroot of Degroot Nurseries Sarnia spoke to our Rotarians and guests this morning explaining the new Ontario pesticide ban starting on Earth. Day, April 22nd, 2009. John explained the alternative that can be used It will be both save for humans and animals. Save enough to eat and drink in most cases. St. Clair Twp Mayor speaks.
Steve Arnold, mayor of St. Clair Township spoke to our Rotarians and guests this morning. He informed us on the new power plants coming on line and the possibility of the closing of the Lambton Generating station in Courtright. He also informed us how the township keeps the taxes in line.
